NIS America announces Cladun: This is an RPG!

Cladun: This is an RPG is a retro style "dungeon crawler." Players can create their own unique character with the included graphics editor. The game also allows the player to play with friends ad-hoc on the PSP. Cladun will be available on the PSN on September 21, 2010.

Correction: The game will be available on 9/21/2010.

WB Games has released the following trailer featuring music from Disturbed, "Another Way to Die" off of their new album. The trailer shows some action but primarily remains in the 'shadows'. Scorpion is shown in full outfit while on fire.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have revealed two returning characters in the upcoming Mortal Kombat game, Cyrax and Kitana. Cyrax is the cybernetic ninja (LK-4D4) build by the Lin Kuei. Kitana is the princess of Edenia and the daughter of Sindel. The Desert and Bell Tower environments have also been unveiled. The following screenshots are ultra high resolution, [7680 × 4320], and make good desktop backgrounds.

Kazuhiko Abe appointed CEO of Capcom

Kazuhiko Abe is now the president and CEO of Capcom USA and Europe divisions. Abe joined Capcom in 2003 as the General Manager of Management Planning. In 2006, he became Chief Financial Officer for Capcom in Japan. Kazuhiko Abe has also worked for The Mitsubishi Bank and Hikari Tsushin, Inc., the telecom services company. Abe replaces veteran Hiroshi Tobisawa who moves to another position at Capcom. Former PlayStation boss, David Reeves, will now also report to Kazuhiko Abe. There will be no structural alterations at either the US or European office. "Abe-san has proven to be an invaluable asset to Capcom," said Kenzo Tsujimoto, chairman and chief executive officer of Capcom Co., Ltd. "His experience of over seven years with Capcom can only benefit the operations in North America and Europe and strengthen the relationships between the Japanese and Pan-Western territories."

Mortal Kombat HD Collection In Development

European game retailers gamemania.be, ShopTo.net, vanstockum.nl and bol.com have listed a Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection game for pre-order with a release date of November 2010 for the PlayStation 3. One mentioned that the game will come with a demo for the new Mortal Kombat game due out 2011. These stores have since removed the listings. TRMK has confirmed "with multiple industry sources that a high definition Mortal Kombat arcade update is indeed currently in development. Mortal Kombat HD Kollection will be a 2D Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (MK1, MK2 and UMK3) featuring all-new high resolution in game graphics - not simply upscaled graphics, but sharp, crisp, awesome-looking High Definition graphics."

To properly recreate the series in HD, Warner Bros. had to film actors performing the moves like they originally did (20 years ago) with high-definition cameras. Warner Bros. has hired some new actors for the various roles and have been busy capturing them over the past few months at a Warner Bros. Studio in Los Angeles. Some of the original cast is involved in the filming to some extent.

TRMK was unsure who the developer of this collection is but suspect that is may be Backbone Entertainment, the developers behind the downloadable ports of Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. There is still much unknown about this upcoming collection from the past, but we will keep you posted on new developments.
