Graphics
The graphics are good looking and solid, however nothing you haven't seen before. Good attention is paid to detail, good animations of enemies, and mainly smooth animations all around, the bad side of the graphics would have to be the weird use of color. One level you're in dark, moody environments, next level you're in a dance/strip club with lights going off everywhere. I found the bright lights beautiful, yet annoying and I could have lived without them. (I'd like to note that I am a tiny bit sensitive to light and have to turn down the brightness on my TV/Computer screen a lot, so that might be the only reason for the crack about the bright lights.)
Gameplay
Hard to get used to, but once you master the controls you have a lot of options at your command. My only complaint is that the control scheme made it so that when you hit the camera button right it would turn left and vicey-versy, and there was no way to fix this in any control scheme layout. Pretty annoying in high-stress situations.
Sound
I don't remember much about the music, however the weapons affects (IMO) were pretty accurate and realistic. It gave me a feeling of immersion into the game. Whoever mixed the sounds must have had some experience with weapons fire.
Fun Factor/Replay Value
The game is fun if you stick with it and get good at it, but if you let it sit for a month and come back to it after you forget the controls it gets tough from that point on. The game is fairly hard at points and I get annoyed easily at continuously losing. However I'm interested in finding out what happens to Jack Slate (the main character), so eventually I'm going to pick this game up again and try to beat it. Oh and before I forget - the game has a lot of variety of stuff to do in it. I won't spoil it for you but the guy's will eat this game up if they play it long enough.
Overall Impressions
Upon first look I was like "Hmm... Max Payne clone." And while I still think that Max Payne was inspiration for this game, that doesn't make it a bad game. Think about it. All FPS and TPS are basically descendants of Wolfenstein and DooM. Just because a game resembles another game doesn't make it inferior. Try it out before you judge it.
Liked
Cool weapons and weapon sounds. Sickin' your dog on criminals. Beatin' down criminals hand to hand. Strippers. Yep. 'Nuff said.
Disliked
Too difficult in some points. I enjoy a challenge but I enjoy mowing down enemies with minimal effort even better. Call me lazy, it's what I like. Plus fighting like 8 guys in prison hand to hand without weapons at one time was downright pitiful for me. They beat the crap out of me several times. (sigh).
