Dreamcast - Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Review Ready 2 Rumble Boxing was the first boxing game I have ever played for the Dreamcast. Needless to say, I loved it! Characters, sound effects and graphics all make this game a knockout punch... GAMEPLAY: 9/10 Matches don't take long at all. The default settings is 3 knockdowns and the match is over. Usually the match is over within the first round. Instructions are easy to follow (if you choose to read them). Menus aren't difficult at all and everything runs smoothly. SOUND: 8/10 The game features, none other than the great Michael Buffer. "Let's Get Ready to Rumble!" is the main phrase in this game. I never get tired of hearing it. Oh yeah! The rest of the sound effects are good. The sound of an uppercut makes you feel like you're sitting ringside, next to Don King. GRAPHICS: 9/10 The graphics are superb. As the boxer, you can choose many different views, such as one that will let you look right through the boxers eyes to see what he's seeing. The characters are all very cool from the Big Butcher Brown to the Funkadelic Boogy Bro: Afro Thunder. REPLAYABILITY: 8/10 Like many games, it is very addicting. However, it may get tiring after a while of just smahing your opponents to bits... you can make the difficulty harder, but then you will be the one getting smashed and that just no fun at all. Overall, this game is an excellent Boxing game from Midway. Keep them coming and watch out for Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2
