Wii U's Online Service Will Be Free.
During a recent annual shareholder's meeting for Nintendo, it was revealed by Satoru Iwata that the Wii U's online service will be free for all users. Iwata agreed that there were advantages to having a paid service, but was firm on the idea of keeping it free to increase the user base of the online service, 'Miiverse.' During the meeting, Iwata also discussed that there is definitely not another 3DS redesign on the horizon and reassured the shareholder's that the Wii U will have a strong third party presence. The Wii U still remains without a release date, but surely will receive one any day now.
