Ubisoft Announces Tom Clancy's The Division Closed Beta Dates
The Division doesn't arrive until March 8th, but if you're itching to jump in, you'll get an early chance to explore Manhattan's pandemic-ravaged streets starting January 28th, when the closed beta goes live. Xbox One owners will get the first crack at the beta, with 24-hour early access, while PS4 and PC players can begin on January 29th.
Tom Clancy's The Division takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City on Black Friday. One by one, basic services fail and in only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, is activated to save society. In this immersive online open world action RPG, discover a hostile and dynamic environment where exploration and player progression are essential. Team up with other players to investigate the sources of the virus and reclaim the city from the overwhelming turmoil.
Beginning on Manhattan's Chelsea Pier, the beta will take you through early story-driven missions that establish your foothold in New York. You'll team up with other agents to battle for loot and outwit other agents in the PvP-enabled Dark Zone. The closed beta runs through January 31; you can sign up for a spot on the waitlist, or get guaranteed access on the platform of your choice by pre-ordering The Division.
Tom Clancy's The Division will be available on March 8, 2016 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
