Tomb Raider Multiplayer Map Pack Released

Square Enix has recently announced the release of the “1939 Multiplayer Map Pack” for Tomb Raider for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC.

The “1939 Multiplayer Map Pack” is already available for download and contains two new maps for use in multiplayer mode: Dogfight and Forest Meadow. In Dogfight, players must traverse a maze-like bunker where strange experiments have been conducted and dangers lurk in the halls. In Forest Meadow, players must survive in an open area that provides both advantages and disadvantages in a game of cat-and-mouse.

There has also been an announcement for two upcoming map packs: the “Shipwrecked” and “Caves and Cliffs” packs. The “Shipwrecked” pack will contain the Lost Fleet and Himiko’s Cradle maps, a beached ship-turned-battleground and a mountain top shrine respectively. The “Caves and Cliffs” pack will contain the following maps: Scavenger Caverns, a network of caverns used by scavengers as a prison; Cliff Shantytown, a settlement built on a cliff that hides a good number of dangers; and the Burning Village, a Japanese village set ablaze with the fire being both a salvation and hazard depending on the situation.

“Caves and Cliffs” will be available sometime mid-April while “Shipwrecked” will be available in early May.
