The Witcher 3 Gets 16 Free DLC

CD PROJEKT RED has recently announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be getting sixteen pieces of free DLC on all released platforms.

CDP RED’s Marcin Iwinski stated that the decision to release the DLC for free is because he feels that players are happier when little updates are given for free after the game has been released. "As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached," Iwinski states. "Haven't we just paid a lot of cash for a brand new game??

Iwinski states that there is no need to pre-order or buy any special edition in order to get the free DLC. The DLC will begin release following the game’s launch in February 24, 2015 with each bundle being released on a weekly basis. The first bundle will have the Temerian Armor Set and a Beard and Hairstyle set for the protagonist Geralt. The second bundle will have an additional quest and an alternative look for one of the main characters, Yennefer. More information on the other DLC will be released eventually.
