THQ Cancels Guillermo del Toro's Insane

THQ announced the news that work on the Insane trilogy had been stopped and the rights had been given back to Guillermo del Toro (writer/director of Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth) on an investor call.

Insane was originally announced in 2010 and was being worked on by Volition (Red Faction, Saint's Row). The is the second large game cancelation recently alongside dropping Devil's Third.

THQ has been having some financial problems lately and closed its San Diego studio during E3 2012.
