Square Enix Talks about New Cop Drama Game

Square Enix London has released more information about their upcoming open world cop drama Sleeping Dogs, primarily its cast list which combines Western and Asian voice talents, which they hope will give players to fully experience the Hong Kong cinema film tone of the game.

Sleeping Dogs is about Wei Shen, an undercover cop tasked with bringing down the Sun On Yee Triad, one of the most powerful and fearsome gang in Hong Kong. The game will focus a wide variety of environments and a combat system based on martial arts that will hopefully make players feel like they truly are the hero of a Hong Kong cop film.

Wei Shen will be voiced by Will Yun Lee (Red Dawn) while the Police Inspector that helps him out will be voiced by Tom Wilkinson (Batman Begins). Childhood friend Jackie Mah will be voiced by Edison Chen (The Dark Knight) while Triad boss Winston Chu will be voiced by Parry Shen (Starship Troopers).

Other voice talents in this game include Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man), Robin Shou (Death Race), Terence Yin (Dead or Alive: Final), James Hong (Blade Runner), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill Volume 1), Tzi-Ma (Dante’s Peak), Yunjin Kim (Lost), and Kelly Hu (X2).
