Remembering Mortal Kombat: Legacy's Darren Shahlavi

Darren Shahlavi was a martial artist and actor that was featured in TV shows such as "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" and "Arrow." He played Kano in "Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Shahlavi was also known for his role in "Ip Man 2" from 2010. Variety states that Shahlavi's agent stated that he passed away on January 14, 2015 at the age of 42. Darren Shahlavi has just recently finished filming the film, "Pound of Flesh" with Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Shahlavi was just seven years old when he began martial arts (Judo) in Manchester, England. By the age of sixteen, Shahlavi started to get into film acting.

Shahlavi has also been in "The Final Cut" alongside the late Robin Williams. Other works he was in include "BloodRaye" from director Uwe Boll featuring Kristanna Loken and Ben Kingsley. He was also in "Alone in the Dark", "300", and "Watchmen".
