Nintendo Reveals Details on Upcoming Mobile Games, NX, and Legend of Zelda
During the earnings announcement for its full fiscal year, Nintendo has revealed some information on upcoming projects. These announcements talked about upcoming mobile games, the upcoming console code-named NX, and the newest The Legend of Zelda game.
To celebrate their mobile phone app Miitomo reaching up to 10 million users, Nintendo is running a special promotion from April 29, 2016 to May 8, 2016.
Nintendo has plans to release mobile games based on two of their franchises: Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. Both games will be released in autumn, and Nintendo says that the two games will have more prominent gameplay elements compared to Miitomo.
Nintendo has revealed that the NX will launch on March 2017. It will not make an appearance during this year's E3 show. More details on the NX will be revealed later this year.
The latest installment of The Legend of Zelda is currently scheduled to launch simultaneously for both the Wii U and the NX. It has a 2017 launch date, but it will be showcased at E3. The Wii U version of the game will be the only playable Nintendo game at E3. More of Nintendo's plans for E3 will be revealed in the future.
