Nintendo Announces Wii U with Touch-Screen Controller

Nintendo has revealed the successor to its Wii video game console, called the Wii U. The Wii U will provide high-definition graphics and introduces a new controller that features a 6.2-inch touch screen.

Wii U Specs:
Console Dimensions: 1.8″ tall, 6.8″ wide and 10.5″ long
Connectivity: HDMI, component, S-video, composite, four USB 2.0 ports and is backward compatible with all Wii accessories and controllers
Features: IBM Power-based multi-core processor
Interface connectivity: 6.2″ 16:9 touch-screen on controller as well as a Power button, Home button, +Control Pad, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons and ZL/ZR buttons. It includes a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, rumble feature, camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, a sensor strip and a stylus
Supported formats: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i
