Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate E3 Trailer Released
The E3 trailer of the upcoming 3DS game Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has been released.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is an updated rerelease of the 3DS game Monster Hunter 4. Players are once again invited to step into a world filled with monsters of various shapes and sizes, ranging from giant scorpion-like arthropods to tyrannosaurus-like wyverns. Players become hunters to take down these monsters, using weapons crafted from parts of the monsters’ bodies and having to rely on their own wits to survive the grueling battles. However, things become more complicated due to a strange virus spreading across the land, a virus turning the monsters into even more savage and powerful adversaries.
The game will feature online play that allows players to connect with each other and team up to fight monsters. The game also introduces two new weapon types: the Insect Glaive which combines a long staff weapon and an insect companion, and the Charge Blade which can switch between sword and axe mode while collecting energy from attacks to bolster its own strikes. Monsters can also cause the terrain to shift as the battles go on, meaning players must be mindful of their surroundings. Players can also take on Felyne companions, cat-like helpers who will accompany them into battle.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is slated for an early 2015 release.
