Metro Redux Trailer Released
4A Games and Deep Silver have released an “Uncovered Trailer†for their upcoming compilation game Metro Redux.
Metro Redux is a rerelease of both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light for the PC and new-gen consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Besides an upgrade to HD, there have been some overhauls as well. For example, the first game has been rebuilt using the latest version of the 4A Engine, giving it re-mastered visuals, graphical and gameplay improvements, advanced enemy AI, better combat and stealth mechanics, and features present in the second game such as weapon customization and silent kills. The second game also features improved graphics and gameplay, as well as fan-requested features such as ‘Check Watch’ and ‘Check Inventory’ features. It will also include all previously released Season Pass add-on content.
There are also new modes tailored to different play styles. “Survival†turns the game into survival horror, giving limited resources, slowing down reload time, and making enemies more dangerous. “Spartan†makes the game more action-orientated, giving players more resources and combat skills to make them more adept at fighting monsters. “Ranger Mode†also returns, once again taking away the HUD and imposing hardcore rules.
Metro Redux will be available in North America on August 26, 2014, and in Europe on August 29, 2014.
