Lone Survivor Out on PlayStation 3 and Vita

Jasper Byrne’s survival horror game Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut, has recently been released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Lone Survivor is the story of a nameless protagonist who is trapped in a city ravaged by a disease of apocalyptic magnitude. In order to survive, the protagonist must venture out into the city to find food and other supplies. However, he finds that he is in another battle besides the battle to survive: he is in a battle to maintain his sanity as he begins seeing things that may or may not be real. Having to struggle to maintain his health and psychological well-being, the protagonist must use every bit of his skills and wit if he wants to make it out alive and find out what happened.

The Director’s Cut is not just a simple port of the original PC game to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. A new lighting system has been added so that the game’s style is improved on HD televisions and the Vita’s screen. Additional items have also been added to the game, new dialogue can be heard, and new endings can be experienced. There are also trophies and secrets to be found, including a platinum trophy for the particularly avid trophy hunters.
