Information on Hometown Story Team Released

Some information has been released about Hometown Story, an upcoming game from the creators of the Harvest Moon franchise Natsume Inc.

Hometown Story is the tale of a shop that was once owned by the protagonist’s grandmother. The protagonist has inherited the shop after the grandmother passed away, but there are a few complications. The shop has become quite run-down and people are not even willing to window shop there anymore. The protagonist is not alone in trying to rebuild the shop, however; a sprite by the name of Pochica is ready to lend a hand and introduce the protagonist to the colorful cast of characters living in the same town who will all play a role in the protagonist’s story.

The game is designed by Yasuhiro Wada, most well-known for his work in the Harvest Moon series; he is known for drawing on his own experience growing up in the countryside for the designs of both games. Graphic stylings are done by Atsuko Nishida, the woman behind the designs of several characters in Pokémon, including the mascot Pikachu. The soundtrack is done by Nobuo Uematsu, well-known for his work in several titles such as the Final Fantasy series.

The game is currently slated for a Fall 2013 release.
