According to the Associated Press, September 14 is the Halo Reach launch day worldwide (excluding Japan). The game just recently finished up its multiplayer beta. The Halo Reach beta was played by 2.7 million gamers.
Future Halo projects are being developed by Microsoft's in-house 343 Industries group. Bungie will be moving on and developing a series of games for Activision, unrelated to the Halo franchise. Halo Reach will be released in Japan on September 15.
