Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Launches Aelxander Dungeon

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward has just launched its first update, Patch 3.01. One of the new additions in this patch is a new raid dungeon: Alexander, a gigantic fortress that has emerged from the Thaliak River in the Dravanian Hinterlands.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is an expansion pack to the game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Its story centers around the Dragonsong War, a conflict between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania. The Warrior of Light and Alphinaud travel to Ishgard, where a series of events lead to them learning the truth about the Dragonsong War. However, a mysterious Warrior of Darkness has arrived, seemingly working as a countermeasure to the Warrior of Light.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward adds several new features to the main game. This includes an increased level cap to level 60, flying mounts, the city-state of Ishgard to explore, new high-end raids, and new gears and recipes. The Au Ra have also been introduced as a new playable race, and players can also encounter two new beast races: the Vanu Vanu and the Gnoth. The primals worshipped by these races, Bismark and Ravana, can also be encountered. Finally, three new jobs are available: Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian.
