Fallout 4 DLC Details Released
The details for the first three pieces of DLC for Fallout 4 have been revealed. The first series of add-ons will consist of "Automatron," "Wasteland Workshop," and "Far Harbor."
In "Automatron," the Mechanist has unleashed a horde of hostile robots into the Commonwealth, including the Robobrain. Players are challenged to hunt down the robots and harvest their parts, parts which can be used to create a custom robot. Hundreds of mods allow players to customize their robots' limbs, abilities, weapons, paint schemes, and even voice. "Automatron" will be released in March 2016 and will cost around $10.
In "Wasteland Workshop," players can design cages to trap live creatures, such as raiders or even deathclaws. Players can tame the creatures they capture or have them face each other in battle. This DLC will also include new design options for settlements, such as nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy, and more. "Wasteland Workshop" will be released in April 2016 and will cost around $5.
In "Far Harbor," a new case from Valentine's Detective Agency puts players on the trail of a missing woman and a secret colony of synths. This search will take players to the island of Far Harbor, a feral place due to high levels of radiation. There is a growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. There will be new faction quests, settlements, dangerous creatures, dungeons to explore, and high power armor and weapons. "Far Harbor" will be released in May 2016 and will cost around $25.
Bethesda has also announced that the Fallout 4 season pass has increased in price from $30 to $50 due to their expanded DLC plan. Anyone who has bought the season pass before March 1, 2016 will not be asked to pay more and will still get all the content.
