
2K Games announced just before PAX 2010 that Gearbox Software is indeed picking up Duke Nukem Forever where 3D Realms left off. Duke Nukem Forever was initially announced in 1997 as the sequel to Duke Nukem 3D. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford states that Duke Nukem Forever is in the "polishing" stages.
