Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess Released
Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess, the latest game in the Deception series and an updated version of Deception IV: Blood Ties, has recently been released for the PlayStation3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.
Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess contains all the content of Deception IV: Blood Ties and also includes a new Quest Mode featuring the new protagonist Velguirie. Quest Mode will tell of Velguirie's rise to power through a hundred missions and three new stages. The protagonist of Deception IV: Blood Ties, Laegrinna, will also be playable, but she's not the only former protagonist making a return.
Previous protagonists that make their return include Millennia the Clockwork Princess, Allura the Branded Princess, and Reina the Tragic Princess. Millennia possesses more stamina than the others and can use traps in rapid succession. Allura can automatically recover stamina and use defensive abilities like Recovery and Shock Wave. Reina can slow down time and dodge enemy attacks. All of these protagonists will initially appear as enemies, but if defeated a certain way, will join the playable roster.
A free downloadable demo is currently available on the PlayStation Network Store. This demo contains the first two chapters of Story Mode and twelve new quests. Some gameplay features are also unlocked early in the demo to give players a taste of what the game will contain. This includes the ability to create seven-trap-long combo sequences and some of Velguirie's unique abilities can be used, specifically Kick and Dash. Save data from the demo cannot be transferred to the final game, but PS4 Share is enabled so players can still show off their combos.
