Sekai Project has recently announced that they have released the visual novel CLANNAD for Windows PC. The game is available for purchase on Steam.

Originally released in Japan in 2004 by Key, CLANNAD tells the story of Tomoya Okazaki, a boy who lost his mother in an accident and suffered the abuse of his father. He meets a girl named Nagisa Furukawa, who is repeating a year because of illness. Nagisa asks Tomoya for help in reviving the school's drama club and Tomoya agrees. Because of this decision, Tomoya ends up meeting several new friends and learning about all the problems and challenges they face.

The key features of this game include:

  • This game is the first official translation of the visual novel, and features voice acting from big name Japanese voice actors like Ai Nonaka, Mamiko Noto, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and more.

  • The game has undergone an HD upgrade, with visuals being upgraded to 1280x960.

  • The English version exclusive Dangopedia, an in-game encyclopedia that teaches players aspects of Japanese tradition and pop culture.

  • Achievements can now be earned.
