Behind-The-Scenes Look At Ninja Theory's Latest Game, Hellblade

The creative minds at Ninja Theory have recently come together to discuss the inspiration and process behind the company's first independently published "Triple-A" game, Hellblade. Hellblade, which is powered by Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games, focuses on ninja-class melee gameplay, strong character stories, and unique art. This dynamic third person combat game explored concepts of mental trauma as seen through the eyes of Senau, a Celtic warrior woman dealing with the aftermath of a Viking invasion.

This latest video will go behind-the-scenes and detail Ninja Theory's vision and direction for their hotly anticipated title. Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Tameem Antoniades, Project Development Manager, Dominic Matthews, and Art Director, Stuart Adcock, discuss aspects of the game from creating a realistic 16th century heroine to the maturity of both technology and Ninja Theory's approach to game design. Along the way, the team illustrates their points with examples of Hellblade's gameplay, in-engine cut scenes and development work done in Unreal Engine 4.

Hellblade will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016.
