Atari filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sunday night to try to break away from its partent company, Infogrames. Atari is looking to find a new buyer for the company. The company has recently been mostly focus on mobile games. They have brought some collections of classic games to the mobile markets (iOS and Android). Atari will operate as usual while the bankruptcy proceedings take place.

Atari was originally founded by Nolan Bushnell in 1972 and created classic video games such as Pong. This game found its way into bars and other locations and helped to get people interested in video games.
