Assassin's Creed: Identity Releasing on iOS on February 25

Ubisoft has recently announced that the latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed: Identity, will be launching on the App Store for iOS devices on February 25, 2016. The game will be an action RPG and is exclusive to mobile devices.

Assassin's Creed: Identity takes place during the Italian Renaissance. Players can create and customize their own Assassin character, after which they will attempt to solve the Mystery of the Crows. There are four classes to play as: Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster, and Thief. Players will explore several areas, such as the Santa Croce area in Florence and the Colosseum in Rome.

The game will bring the series' freedom of movement and parkour to iOS devices using a variety of different controls: tap-to-move, dual virtual stick controls, or a gamepad. The game will also use the Unity engine to bring HD textures, shaders, and models to mobile devices.

Ubisoft will release a Q&A video with the Creative Director of the game on the Ubisoft YouTube channel. The video will give more details on the game and how Assassin's Creed was reimagined for mobile devices.
