Andrew House to Replace Kazuo Hirai at Sony

Andrew House will replace Kazuo Hirai as President and Group CEO Sony Computer Entertainment on September 1, 2011. Andrew House first joined Sony in 1990, working for corporate public relations. House played a large role in the launch of the original PlayStation. In September of 2005, House was appointed to a newly-created position, Chief Marketing Officer of Sony Corporation. In 2009, House became the head of Sony's game unit in Europe. House attended Oxford University and received his bachelor's degree in English language and literature. With the promotion of Andrew House, Sony is likely trying to change its image after the the PlayStation network was hacked back in April, 2011.
