AOL Closing Down Joystiq
Joystiq was originally founded by Weblogs, Inc. in 2004. The company was acquired by AOL a year later. According to TechCrunch, Joystiq will be merged into Engadget as a sub-section of the site. The staff of the site will be let go. Joystiq had been a top source of gaming news and information for years now. Ludwig Kietzmann, EIC of the site, stated on Twitter that the Joystiq will keep publishing until Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
